Electricity bill discounts for Protected users
From February 2026, our customers with Protected User status can receive support in the form of electricity bill reductions.
The Protected User service in Latvia is governed by the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 345 (June 1, 2021), "Regulations Regarding the Protected User Trading Service." These regulations ensure that specific groups of residents are eligible for a reduction in their monthly electricity bills.

- Low-income or disadvantaged households (individuals): €20/mo
- Families (individuals) caring for a child with a disability: €20/mo
- Persona ar I grupas invaliditāti vai tās aizgādnis: €20/mo
- Large families: €20/mo
If you have Protected User status and the electricity agreement is in your name, the discount will be applied to your monthly bill automatically. No further action is required on your part.
Submit an application if:
- The electricity agreement is not in your name.
- A child from your large family (aged 18 to 24) is pursuing general, vocational, or higher education abroad.
