Electricity Trader Change Process
To install an electricity connection for a new property, you must submit an application on the e-st.lv portal and pay the estimate prepared by AS “Sadales tīkls” (Distribution Services Operator, DSO) for the construction of external networks.
After that, you need to engage a certified electrician to prepare the internal electrical installations and submit the readiness certificate issued by the electrician, as well as conclude a contract with an electricity trader so that AS “Sadales tīkls” (Distribution Services Operator, DSO) can install an electricity meter.
To completely disconnect from the electricity supply and stop all related payments, select “Termination of connection” in the “Apply for service” section of the e-st.lv portal. After processing your application, AS “Sadales tīkls” (Distribution Services Operator, DSO) will dismantle the meter.
You will receive a final invoice from your electricity trader and AS “Sadales tīkls” (Distribution Services Operator, DSO). This invoice must be paid to cover the electricity consumed up to the moment of disconnection.
If the electricity was disconnected recently (<6 months), all you need to do is sign a new contract with an electricity trader. If the interruption has lasted longer than 6 months or the meter has been removed, you must first hire a certified electrician who will check the safety of the electrical installation and issue a readiness certificate.
This document must be submitted to the e-st.lv portal, the renewal fee must be paid, and then a contract must be concluded with the trader so that AS “Sadales tīkls” (Distribution Services Operator, DSO) can restore the electricity supply.
